COMPASS

COMPASS (Comparative Packaging Assessment) is a design-phase web application that provides comparative environmental profiles of packaging alternatives based on life cycle assessment metrics and design attributes.

COMPASS provides consistently modeled data sets for USA, Canada and Europe tailored for materials and processes used for packaging to allow reliable apples to apples comparisons of multiple scenarios. In addition, regionalized solid waste modeling provides a waste profile of each scenario to help understand the end of life implications of packaging designs.

COMPASS offers the credibility of a well informed and rigorous development process. Its metrics and methodologies were developed through consensus by some of the best-informed members on packaging and sustainability within the industry and peer reviewed by a variety of outside stakeholders, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Walmart Packaging Modeling 3.0

Walmart's Package Modeling 3.0 is a research & development tool that allows companies to find potential sustainability improvements in their product packaging. It is a large part of Walmart's ongoing sustainability efforts and is used by the retailer's direct suppliers to find ways they can improve their scores on the Sustainable Packaging Scorecard.

This software allows Dordan to work with direct and indirect suppliers to Walmart in the design and manufacture of the most eco-efficient package based on the specific application. By understanding the metrics utilized in the Scorecard, Dordan has the know-how to help you achieve a better Score!
