Company X's package redesign

This case study was performed for a potential customer who was in the process of redesigning their product packaging. They wanted to switch from a corrugated tray to a thermoformed hanger and wished to see the associated environmental repercussions. As the COMPASS data indicates, the thermoformed hanger has less of an impact on the environment than the corrugated tray from an LCA-based perspective.

Paper versus plastic

This case study was performed to support the sustainability claims we made on the Greener Package database for packaging suppliers. We claimed that our certified 70% PCR RPET clamshell (CS-002) releases less greenhouse gases and consumes less water, minerals and biotic resources throughout its lifecycle than fiber-based packages of similar dimensions.
