We believe that investing in our community is important. That’s why we were honored once again to participate in Woodstock High School’s INCubator Pitch Night — an entrepreneurial program modeled after Shark Tank that gives students real-world business experience.
For the past five years, Dordan has have served as a volunteer judge for this incredible event. Alongside other local business owners and city officials — including Woodstock’s Mayor, who joined us this year — we had the privilege of listening to student groups pitch their innovative business ideas after a year of hard work and development.
This year's presentations were particularly inspiring, with the majority of teams focusing on sustainable products and services— a topic that’s close to our hearts at Dordan. It’s amazing to see the next generation not only thinking creatively but also prioritizing responsible innovation.
Congratulations to the winning group, who will go on to compete at McHenry County College’s regional competition! It was a joy to celebrate with them, and I was lucky to capture the moment with photos alongside the Mayor and the students.
As a family-owned thermoform packaging designer and manufacturer based in Woodstock for over 60 years, Dordan remains committed to giving back to the community that has supported us for generations. Volunteering with the INCubator program is just one way we help foster growth, innovation, and leadership among Woodstock’s youth.
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these bright entrepreneurs!
