The first half-of-a-million face shields that Dordan produced were for hospitals. During that time, we were contacted by many small businesses and manufacturers that did not need thousands of shields, but a few hundred. Because these shields were being manufactured to fill a custom order, we were unable to sell to the smaller firms looking to procure face shields for their employees returning to work.
While Dordan is a custom, high-volume package designer and manufacturer, third-generation siblings Aric, Sean, and Chandler Slavin have modified its business to sell face shields by the carton, with a minimum order of 6 cartons (96 shields).
Marketing Manager Chandler explains,
We believe that PPE should be accessible to everyone and anyone, regardless of how big you. Most suppliers of face shields have minimum order quantities in the thousands, prohibiting small companies from getting the needed supply. Because of this, we are selling face shields by the carton with a minimum order of about 100 shields. Our goal is to provide affordable and functional splash guard protection to any worker in any environment looking to reduce exposure to COVID-19.

Face shield details:
Manufactured and assembled at Dordan in Woodstock, IL. Dordan is ISO 9001:2015 certified with an ISO Class 8 cleanroom for manufacturing medical packaging.
Face shields are made of 0.012" FDA PET with 1" charcoal foam adhered to forehead portion of face shield.
PET plastic portion of face shield is recyclable post-consumer. Remove and dispose of foam strip; place plastic shield with other PET containers for collection.
